Science Booster Programmes 2015

Does your child struggle to achieve a higher grade or score well in science?

Our science booster programmes will teach your child techniques on how to answer science questions, build strong foundation to be better prepared for the next year’s curriculum.

 

Primary 4

Programme focus:

  • Introduction to scientific concepts on Matter, Magnet and Light.
  • Hands-on activities to develop your child’s scientific skills, like observing, inferring and formulating hypothesis.
  • Exam strategies: Answering techniques and keywords to take note of.
  • Stimulate your child’s curiosity about the environment

 

Programme Duration : 2hr per day, across 5 days

Classes available for : P4 (2016)

Date and Day: 7 Dec (Mon), 8 Dec (Tues), 9 Dec (Weds), 14 Dec (Mon), 15 Dec (Tues)

Time: 4pm – 6pm

 


Primary 5

Programme focus:

  • Introduction to scientific concepts on Electricity, Human Respiratory System and Water.
  • Hands-on activities to develop your child’s scientific skills, like observing, inferring, correct use of apparatus and equipment, formulating hypothesis.
  • Exam strategies: Answering techniques and keywords to take note of.
  • Understanding of science in everyday life.

 

Programme Duration : 2hr per day, across 5 days

Classes available for : P5 (2016)

Primary 6

Programme focus:

  • Introduction to scientific concepts on Energy, Forces and People and Environment.
  • Hands-on activities to develop your child’s scientific skills, like observing, inferring, correct use of apparatus and equipment, formulating hypothesis, creative problem solving and investigation.
  • Exam strategies: Answering techniques and keywords to take note of.
  • Understanding role and impact of science and technology in society.

 

Programme Duration : 2hr per day, across 5 days

Classes available for : P6 (2016)

Secondary 1

Programme focus:

  • Introduction to scientific concepts on Physical Quantities, Units and Measurements, Elements, Compounds, Mixtures and Cell Structures and Organisation.
  • Hands-on activities to develop your child’s scientific skills, like posing questions, inferring, correct use of apparatus and equipment, formulating hypothesis, defining the problem, generating possibilities and predicting.
  • Exam strategies: Answering techniques and keywords to take note of.
  • Stimulate your child’s curiosity, interest and enjoyment in science and matters relating to science and technology and engage your child in science-related issues that concern their lives, the society and the environment.

 

Programme Duration : 2hr per day, across 5 days

Classes available for : S1 (2016)

  • Hands-on activities to develop your child’s scientific skills, like posing questions, inferring, correct use of apparatus and equipment, formulating hypothesis, defining the problem, generating possibilities and predicting.
  • Exam strategies: Answering techniques and keywords to take note of.
  • Stimulate your child’s curiosity, interest and enjoyment in science and matters relating to science and technology and engage your child in science-related issues that concern their lives, the society and the environment.

 

Programme Duration : 2hr per day, across 5 days

Classes available for : S2 (2016)
